The Charlottesville
Regional Chamber of Commerce Salutes these fine sponsors

Shopping
Blending the latest fashions
with a touch of history, the Downtown Mall offers an eclectic group of
shops. Tourists will find few national retailers. Instead, specialty
shops selling trendy merchandise fit right in with many restaurants that
showcase local musicians.
"The Corner,"
across from the Rotunda, features more local flare by giving a good
taste of college life. Mostly bookstores and t-shirt shops, this
shopping area is where many students and their parents come to purchase
university souvenirs. "The Corner" is also where students come
for coffee and food outside dining halls.
As the largest enclosed
shopping center in the area, Fashion Square Mall has something for
everyone. This shopping center sits in the U.S. 29 corridor north of the
city and has four anchor stores. Specialty shops and restaurants also
serve consumers.
Barracks Road Shopping Center has three grocery stores and several
restaurants and coffee houses. Consumers can find many items to purchase
from a large number of retailers. Barracks Road Shopping Center is
located near the University of Virginia.
Albemarle Square, which is north of Fashion Square Mall, is a diverse
shopping area, offering stores, restaurants, and even a public library.
Pantops Shopping Center has
recently expanded to include larger stores and is located east of
Charlottesville on U.S. 250. |
