The Virginia Piedmont Technology Council (VPTC) has announced its establishment in its new headquarters located at 414 E. Market Street (Suite A, Charlottesville, VA 22902). The building is situated at the corner of 5th Street and E. Market, across the street from the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce. Phone numbers for VPTC remain the same (434-817-6300 and 6303).
VPTC also announced that Wynn Jones has been hired as VPTC’s Operations Manager. Wynn Jones comes to the VPTC from Telluride, Colorado, where she most recently worked as the Program Director for the Telluride Foundation, a non-profit in Boulder.
"Our new location in downtown Charlottesville’s vibrant business community and the addition of Wynn to our staff position the VPTC to continue its influential role in helping the Piedmont region become the home to new technology pioneers," said Jeff Cornejo, VPTC’s Chairperson.

Effective October 1, 2005, Southern Health Services, Inc. and Patient First have entered into an Agreement that will allow Patient First to provide primary care services to our membership. Southern Health members will now be allowed to utilize a Patient First physician as their Primary Care Physician (PCP).
"This will afford our membership with a greater flexibility to access primary care services in the Richmond and Virginia Beach areas. We are pleased to welcome the Patient First physicians as PCPs and are glad to offer our membership more choices for primary care," said Cosby M. Davis, III, Southern Health's President & CEO.

Oakencroft Winery in Charlottesville, Virginia received the most Gold Medals among all competitors in the 2005 Virginia State Fair Wine Competition. Oakencroft 2002 Petit Verdot, 2003 Chambourcin, 2002 Merlot and the 2003 Encore won Golds and in the Label Competition, Oakencroft 2003 Chambourcin won an Honorable Mention for the Best Shelf Appeal. Oakencroft has a 22 year history of Gold Medal Wines.
