Chamber Business Education
Workshops
Chamber Business Education Workshops cover topics of interest to the
on-going practice of your business, or to the enhancement of your own or
your employees' professional skills and abilities. Utilizing the expertise
of Chamber member businesses, these workshops are offered throughout the
year. A calendar is published in the winter/spring and again in the
summer/fall.

SCORE (The
Service Corps of Retired Executives)
The SCORE Association (Service Corps of Retired Executives) is a nonprofit
association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth,
and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with
the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Locally the SCORE office is housed in the Chamber of Commerce building.
There are more than 20 counselors in the local chapter. SCORE provides
FREE consulting services to both start-up and existing small businesses in
their central Virginia service area consisting of Albemarle, Fluvanna,
Greene, Culpeper, Louisa, Madison, Nelson, and Orange counties.
SCORE works in partnership with our Charlottesville Regional Chamber of
Commerce in the development of our Chamber Business Education Workshops,
and additionally offers seminars on a regular basis for entrepreneurs,
business managers, and individuals interested in improving themselves
proessionally or their business practices.

Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) Center for Training & Workforce
Development
The programs and services of the PVCC Center for Training & Workforce
Development are designed to meet the ever-changing needs of business,
industry, government and employees.
Chamber member businesses receive a 10% discount on non-credit courses
offered at PVCC in workforce development. This discount is available for
each individual enrolling in an open enrollment course. A ten percent
(10%) discount is also offered off the total fee for a PVCC customized
course. The course tuition must be paid directly to PVCC by a Chamber
member business or organization and not by the employee taking the course.

Chamber Non-Profit Council Seminar Series
The Chamber Non-Profit Council represents and focuses upon the needs and interests of our Chamber's vibrant non-profit community organizations. The Chamber Non-Profit Council runs a successful, affordable series of workshops, aimed at the needs of non-profit staff and Board members. This special series of workshops presented by the Non-Profit Council is known as the WEDNESDAY WORKSHOP SERIES.
